The newly retired Jorge Posada will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch on Friday when the Yankees host their home opener. Posada retired this offseason after a 17 big league career. He finished with a .273 batting average and 1,664 hits in his career. He won 5 World Series Championships with the Yankees, the last one in 2009.
Yankees Beat Writer Bryan Hoch tweeted that Derek Jeter isn't interest in catching the first pitch, but Mariano Rivera is.
