Yankees Fall to Angels, Haren

The Yankees weren't able to come up with a win Tuesday night when they faced the Angels and their starter, Dan Haren. They lost by a score of 5-1.

Andy Pettitte started for the Yankees could not stop the red hot Angels. Pettitte allowed 5 runs on 9 hits in 7 innings of work. He struck out 3 and did not walk a batter. He threw to one batter in the 8th inning before being pulled. Pettitte finished with 108 pitches in which 73 of them were for strikes.

The Yankees offense couldn't get anything going tonight against Dan Haren. Their only run came on a RBI single by Nick Swisher in the 4th inning. Swisher went 1-4 on the night. He was robbed of a home run or extra base hit by Mike Trout in the 2nd inning. He was also robbed off an extra base hit by Peter Bourjos in the 7th inning.

The Yankees and Angels will conclude their 3 game set with the Angels tomorrow.
