C.C. Sabathia extended the Yankees win streak to ten with his complete game performance against the Braves Monday night.

Sabathia allowed 2 runs on 7 hits. He struck out 10 and walked 1. Sabathia picked up his 9th win on the season. He threw 116 pitches, in which 84 of them were for strikes.

With his complete game, Sabathia was able to give the bullpen a much needed day off. Every pitcher has had a heavy workload and Sabathia was able to give them a rest.

Sabathia kept the Yankees in the game after surrendering some early runs. The Yankees trailed 2-0 before their offense was able to get to the lefty, Mike Minor.

The Yankee Offense was able to get to Minor in the 5th inning. Russell Martin hit a ground rule double that scored Alex Rodriguez and cut the Braves lead to 2-1. Derek Jeter would give the Yankees the lead with a 2 out, 2 run single to center field that scored Robinson Cano and Russell Martin.

Mark Teixeira increased their lead with a solo home run to left field in the 6th inning.

In the 7th inning, Derek Jeter would drive in his 3rd run of the game with an RBI single to center field that plated Chris Stewart. The Yankees increased their lead to 5-2.

Robinson Cano would then make it 6-2 when he hit a solo home run into monument park in the 8th inning.

The Yankees and Braves will play again tomorrow night at the Stadium.
