With his leadoff double down the left field line Friday night, Derek Jeter has passed Cal Ripken Jr. on the All-Time hits list with 3,185 career hits. Jeter now has sole possession of 13th place.
Jeter ripped a 1-0 pitch down the left field line for a double to start off the game. Granderson would be after him and he would drive Jeter in with a 2-run shot to right field.
Derek Jeter now needs 58 hits to tie Nap Lajoie for 12th place on the All-Time hits list.
