Yanks' Win Streak Snapped with Loss to Braves

The Yankees could not extend their win streak on Tuesday night as they were defeated by the Atlanta Braves 4-3 in a close ballgame.

Hiroki Kuroda started for the Yankees and was solid early on. He had good command of his fastball, but he worked into some trouble during the middle innings. Kuroda allwoed 4 runs on 6 hits in 7 innings pitched. He struck out 6 and walked 3.

The Yankee offense jumped on Tim Hudson early on as they scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning on a Nick Swisher 2 run double to center field.

The Yankee offense struggled throughout the game. They were 2 for 11 with runners in scoring position and they left 9 men on base.

The Yankees and Braves will play the finale tomorrow afternoon.
