The Yankees struggles continued on Wednesday as they were defeated by the White Sox 2-1 which capped of their sweep. Their lead in the AL East is down to just three games over the Rays.

Phil Hughes started for the Yankees and he was solid. Hughes allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 7 innings of work. He struck out 5 and walked 2. He exited with 98 pitches thrown, in which 71 of them were for strikes.

David Robertson worked the eighth inning and he only allowed one hit.

The Yankee offense was just not there tonight. Derek Jeter hit a solo shot in the sixth inning which accounted for the Yankees only run.

The Yankees will enjoy a much needed off-day tomorrow and will begin a three game set with the Indians on Friday.
