  Freddy Garcia #36 Of The New York Yankees Reacts


The Yankees' fell short to the Minesota Twins last night by a score of 7 to 3. Freddy Garcia wasn't that sharp and he allowed some late runs to earn the loss. The Twins scored 2 in the first, but the Yankees' quickly bounced back at put 3 up on the board. Derek Jeter and Curtis Granderson started the game off with back-to-back solo shots. 

Freddy Garcia allowed 5 Runs on 9 Hits in 5.2 innings of work. He struck out 5 and walked 0. 

Game 2 of this 4 game set will take place tomorrow with the Yankees' ace, C.C. Sabathia on the mound.

Michael Pineda Throws Successful Bullpen


Brian Cashman has confirmed the Michael Pineda threw a successful 26 pitch bullpen earlier today. Pineda, who has been on the disabled list with tendinitis in his right arm, is looking to make a mid-May comeback

The next step for Pineda is another bullpen session and then some minor league starts.

Yanks' Blast Past Angels

The Yankees' took the final game of this 3 game set against the Angels 11-5. Ivan Nova secured the win thanks to their explosive offense. Derek Jeter his a 3 run shot in the 4th inning to get the Yankees up and running. Raul Ibanez would add in the 7th when he hit a towering shot down the line that almost made it to the upper deck. 

Nick Swisher, Curtis Granderson, Alex Rodriguez, and Mark Teixeira also picked up some RBI's in this blowout by the Yankees'.

Ivan Nova gave up 4 R on 8 Hits in 6.0 innings of work. He struck out 8 and walked 2. He picked up the win to improve his record to 2-0 on the season. 

Freddy Garcia will take the mound tomorrow against the Minnesota Twins.
