The Yankees were able to defeat the Red Sox 7-4 on Saturday after blasting five home runs in the game.
Hiroki Kuroda started for the Yankees and he pitched very well to pick up his second win of the season. Kuroda had most of his pitches working as he kept the Red Sox hitters off-balance throughout the game. He struck out five batters, but walked three in six and a third innings of work. He allowed four earned runs in the game.
Carlos Beltran, Brian McCann, Alfonso Soriano and Kelly Johnson all hit home runs in their 7-4 win.
The Yankees and Red Sox will conclude their four-game set tomorrow night.
