Brett Gardner out until End of July

Brett Gardner, who is rehabbing from a right elbow injury, will be sidelined until at least the end of July.

"The earliest you will see him is the 27th of July at the major league level," Cashman said.

Brett Gardner has played only 9 games this season. He has been sidelined with a right elbow strain, an injury he suffered while diving for a ball.

Gardner was expected to be back around May, but after multiple setbacks, the Yankees will expect him back sometime during the second half.

"Do we miss Gardner? Yes," Cashman said. "Have we missed Gardner? No. I can say that about everyone of our guys that have gotten hurt. This is exactly what we thought we would get."
