Freddy Garcia exited the ballgame after 4 1/2 innings. He allowed 4R, 3 ER on 4 hits. He struck out 3 and walked 3. Garcia threw 5 wild pitches, the most in a regular season game since Ken Howell on 4-5-1989 for the Phillies.
Garcia didn't really have a grip on his splitter, missing in the dirt with it all night.
Last season he had 4 wild pitches. He surpassed that tonight with 5 in one game.
