Yankees acquire Starlin Castro from Cubs

The Yankees and Cubs have agreed on a deal that will send Starlin Castro to the New York Yankees for pitcher Adam Warren and infielder Brendan Ryan.

These two teams were in talks about a possible trade regarding Starlin Castro and Brett Gardner, but failed to escalate further.

Castro is a three time All-Star and has a career .281 batting average throughout his first six seasons in the big leagues.

The deal was first reported by ESPN's Buster Olney, followed by Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
