Yanks' Bats Power Past Rangers

The Yankees' beat the Rangers tonight by a score of 7-4. C.C. Sabathia looked great tonight. He gave up 4 runs on 7 hits in 8.0 innings of work. He matched his season high of strike outs tonight with 8. He walked 1. 

The Yankees' bats picked up where they left off Saturday. They scored 2 runs in the 1st, 4 in the 5th, and 1 in the 6th. 

Curtis Granderson gave the Yankees' the lead early on with a bases loaded 2 run single in the top of the 1st. 

Derek Jeter went 4-5 with an RBI double. He boosted his batting average up to .411. 

Alex Rodriguez hit a 3-run home run in the 5th off of Derek Holland. Holland picked up his 1st loss of the season. 

Mariano Rivera came on to shut the door in the 9th to pick up his 4th save of the season. 

Hiroki Kuroda and Yu Darvish face off tomorrow when the Yankees and the Rangers go back at it for game 2 of this 3 game set.
