The Yankees reportedly have reached terms with outfield Kosuke Fukudome, which could land him in the Bronx if Brett Gardner continues to have setbacks with his ongoing elbow injury. Fukudome will report to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this weekend.
Fukudome has played six seasons in the major leagues, most recently with the Chicago White Sox. He was released on June 26th by the club.
As i stated above, if Brett Gardner has another setback with his elbow, Fukudome could fill in his spot as a corner outfielder until his return.
