Yanks' Can't Complete Sweep of Angels

The Yankees were unable to complete the sweep of the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday when they were defeated 10-8 in game that changed leads throughout. 

Ivan Nova started for the Yankees and he had a sub-par outing. He allowed 6 runs on 9 hits in 6 innings of work. He struck out 3 and walked 2. Nova exited with 101 pitches thrown, in which 62 of them were for strikes.

The Yankee offense had the long ball working toady. They hit a total of four home runs in todays game. Alex Rodriguez hit a two-run shot in the first and Curtis Granderson hit a solo shot in the sixth. Eric Chavez would add on with a solo shot in the seventh inning.Then in the ninth inning, Mark Teixeira would add with a two-run shot of his own.

Curtis Granderson showed off his defensive skills today. He made a nice over the shoulder grab, which you will defiantly see on the highlight reel, and then made a diving catch in the right-center field gap.

The Yankees were putting a rally together in the bottom of the ninth, but with the bases loaded and down by two, Alex Rodriguez popped up to first base to end the game.

The Yankees will begin a three game set with the Blue Jays on Monday.
