The Yankees cruised passed the Orioles on Sunday when they defeated them 13-3. The Yankees bats came alive as they were able to split the four game set and take back sole possession of first place in the American League East.

Freddy Garcia started for the Yankees and he didn't last very long. Garcia allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 3 1/3 innings of work. He struck 1 and walked 1. Garcia was pulled after throwing 52 pitches, in which 35 of them were for strikes.

The Yankee bullpen was stellar as they only allowed 1 hit in 5 2/3 innings of work.

Curtis Granderson led the offense today as he went 3-3 and drove in five runs. Granderson pinch-hit for Andruw Jones in the sixth inning.

Derek Jeter collected two more hits in  four at-bats to increase his average to .324 on the season.

The Yankees will conclude their road trip after an off-day on Monday when they begin a three game set with the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.
