The Yankees were unable to capitalize when they had opportunities tonight as they were defeated 4-3 by the Red Sox.

Hiroki Kuroda started tonight and he was decent. Kuroda allowe 3 runs on 8 hits in 6 1/3 innings of work. He struck out 6 and did not issue a walk. Kuroda, just like many of the other starters, gave up the lead after the offense took the lead.

Derek Jeter drove in two of their three runs tonight as he had a big two-run double in the sixth inning.

The Yankees were unable to hold down the Red Sox in the ninth inning with the game tied. David Robertson suffered the loss as the Jacoby Ellsbury hit a walk-off single.

The Yankees and Red Sox will continue their three game set tomorrow night.
