The Yankees were unable to complete their three run comeback tonight as they were defeated 5-4 by the Orioles on Saturday.

C.C. Sabathia started for the Yankees and he struggled again. Sabathia allowed 5 runs on 8 hits in 6 1/3 innings of work. He struck out 5 and did not allow a walk. Sabathia gave up another Yankee lead, which led to their defeat tonight.

The Yankee offense got started quickly as they plated a run in the first and a run in the second inning. They would go scoreless until the eighth inning when Alex Rodriguez launched a solo shot to center field. The Yankees would try and mount a comeback in the ninth inning, but a horrendous call by first base umpire, Jerry Meals, erased their intentions of doing so. The Yankees would go on to score one in the ninth.

The Yankees and Orioles will conclude their four game set tomorrow afternoon.
