The Yankees and Red Sox were unable to finish their game as rain forced the game to be called in the sixth inning, which led the Red Sox to secure the 3-0 victory.
Hiroki Kuroda started for the Yankees and it wasn't one of his best starts. Kuroda allowed three runs on eight hits in five and a third innings of work. He struck out five and did not walk a batter. He finished his outing with 95 pitches, in which 62 of them were for strikes.
The game did not start on time as it was delayed for about 45 minutes, even though it never rained at all. The second delay game in the sixth inning with one out. After that delay, Kuroda did not come back out to pitch. Boone Logan replaced him and he finished out the top half of the sixth inning. The bottom half of the sixth was never played due to rain.
The Yankees look to get back on the winning track as they begin a three-game set with the Indians on Monday.
