The Yankees were two outs away from sweeping the Baltimore Orioles and increasing their win streak to even, but Mariano Rivera surrendered a two-run home run to Adam Jones, which gave them a 2-1 lead.

Hiroki Kuroda started for the Yankees and he was outstanding once again. Kuroda allowed no runs on three hits in seven innings of work. He struck out four and walked only one. He finished his outing with 88 pitches thrown, in which 53 of them were for strikes.

The Yankees had no offense today as they only scored one run on six hits.

The Yankees will begin a three-game set with the Royals tomorrow.
