Yanks' Start Season 0-3 -- Don't Panic

Members Of The New York Yankees, Including Derek Jeter, Third From Left, Watch From The Dugout

The Yankees might be 0-3 to start off the season, but don't panic just yet. The last time the Yankees started off a season 0-3 was in 1998, and that was arguably the greatest Yankee team. They went on to win 114 games that season and they ended it with a World Series win.

We are still only 3 games into the season. No need to panic just yet.

Kuroda Struggles in Yankees Debut

Pitcher Hiroki Kuroda #18 Of The New York Yankees Starts

Hiroki Kuroda didn't impress many in his Yankees debut tonight. Kuroda struggled early on giving up a few first inning runs, thanks to Eduardo Nunez's error and Kuroda's two walks. He struggled with his fastball missing up throughout the whole game. Kuroda needs and is expected to be consistent in order to be the Yankees #2 starter.

Kuroda allowed 4 earned runs on 6 hits in 5.2 innings pitched. He struck out 2 and walked 4. He was awarded the loss.

The Yankees and Rays concluded their opening series tomorrow at 1:40 ET. Lineups will be posted.
