The Yankees' lost game 3 of 4 to the Twins last night by a score of 6-5. The Yankees' look to bounce back tonight and even the series at 2 game apiece.

Brett Gardner to DL

New York Yankees' Andruw Jones, Right, Is

Joe Girardi announced after tonight's game that Brett Gardner will be placed on the disabled list with bruised right elbow and a muscle strain in that area. He suffered this injury as a result of a diving catch he made in the 3rd inning of Tuesday's game.

Brett Gardner was 2-2 with 2 doubes, two walks, and a stolen base.

Girardi said that Raul Ibanez or Andruw Jones will fill in his spot in left field. Eduardo Nunez could get some action in left as well.

The Yankees' will call up Cody Eppely, who they claimed off waivers from the Texas Rangers on April 5th.

Eppely appearing in 10 games for Texas last season. He allowed 8 runs in 9 innings of work. This season, he has thrown 6 1/3 innings of scoreless ball for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Hiroki Kuroda, Yanks' Falter Against Twins

The Yankees' lost Wednesday Night's game by a score of 6-5. Hiroki Kuroda struggled early on by allowing 4 runs in the 1st inning. The Yankees' quickly came back with 3 of their own in the bottom half. Unfortunately, they weren't able to tie the score and the Twins added some more runs on in the 3rd and 5th inning. Justin Morneau homered twice to lead the offense for the Twins. Kuroda allowed 6 runs, on 10 hits, in 4 1/3 innings pitched. He struck out 4 and walked 0. 

Derek Jeter stayed red hot for the Yankees'. He collected 3 hits in 5 at bats. He slugged his 4th home run of the season in the 9th inning. 

The Yankees' and Twins will conclude this 4 game series tomorrow when Phil Hughes looks to pick up his first win against Anthony Swarzak and the Twins.

The Yankees' beat the Twins last night after a great start by C.C. Sabathia to even this series at one apiece. Both teams are set to play the 3rd game of this 4 game set tonight.

Sabathia Strong In Win Against Twins

 CC Sabathia #52 Of The New York Yankees Delivers

C.C. Sabathia picked up his first win of the season tonight by beating the Minnesota Twins 8-3.He allowed 3 runs, on 4 hits, in 7.1 innings of work. He struck out 7 and walked 1. His toughest inning was the 3rd, when he allowed 3 runs. He elevated his pitch count above 60 that inning. He finished his outing with 11 pitches.

Chris Stewart led the charge tonight with 3 RBI's. Stewart was acquired by the Yankees' from the Giants in exchange for George Kontos. The deal was done at toward the end of Spring Training. Stewart went 2-4 tonight.

Brett Gardner, Eduardo Nunez, Andruw Jones, and Derek Jeter all drove in runs. Andruw Jones launched a solo shot in the 4th inning.

The Yankees' will play game 3 of 4 tomorrow when they battle the Twins back at the Stadium.
