The Yankees were unable to record consecutive victories as they were defeated 3-2 by the Blue Jays.

Andy Pettitte started for the Yankees and he put the team in a spot to win. Pettitte allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 5 2/3 innings of work. He struck out 4, but allowed 3 walks. Pettitte exited with 94 pitches thrown, in which 56 of them were for strikes.

The Yankee offense scored twice in the first inning on sacrifice flies by Robinson Cano and Curtis Granderson.

The Yankees were 2-for-11 in today's game and left 10 runners on base. They had the chance to blow the game wide open, but they could not get the big hit. The Yankees out-hit the Blue Jays 9-7.

The Yankees were able to pick up a win against the Blue Jays on Friday as they won 11-4.

Hiroki Kuroda started for the Yankees and he was able to pick up the win. Kuroda allowed 2 runs on 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings of work. He struck out 4, but walked 2. Kuroda finished his outing with 98 pitches thrown, in which 61 of them were for strikes.

The Yankee offense was productive from top to bottom tonight. Russell Martin and Eric Chavez both hit homers in the win. Ichiro Suzuki, Robinson Cano, Nick Swisher, and Raul Ibanez all drove in runs tonight as well.
