The Yankees have acquired Vernon Wells from the Angels on Tuesday as he will try to help this injured filled club throughout the season.
Wells, 34, was acquired from the Angels for minor leaguers Exicardo Cayones and Kramer Sneed, along with cash considerations.
The Angels are taking on the majority of Well's $42 million contract. The Yankees will pay Wells approximately $13 million over the next two seasons.
Vernon Wells will be the Yankees starting left fielder on Opening Day due to the many injured players on their roster.
