Curtis Granderson leaves game against Rays

Curtis Granderson left the game in the 5th inning against the Rays on Friday after getting hit in the left hand by a pitch. He would stay in the game, but after he scored on a bases-loaded walk by Jayson Nix, he went straight into the clubhouse.

Granderson previously broke his forearm in his first at-bat of Spring Training way back in February. He was activated off the disabled list just ten days ago.

There has been no word on his condition, but we will update you as soon as we get more.

The Yankees not only lost the finale against the Orioles by a score of 6-3, but they might have lost their number two starter for an extended period of time. Kuroda exited the game in the third inning after allowing two straight hits. He was previously hit in the right calf by a line drive in the second inning. As of now, he is expected to make his next start, but by the way this season has gone in relation to injuries, nothing is guaranteed.

Kuroda allowed five runs on eight hits in two innings of work. He struck out none and did not walk a batter. He finished his outing with 55 pitches thrown, in which 35 of them were for strikes. Kuroda was knocked around a bit in the first inning as he allowed two home runs, which put the Yankees in an early hole.

The Yankee offense only scored three runs in the loss. Robinson Cano drive in the first run in the third inning with a single to center field, which score Curtis Granderson. The two other runs came on solo shots from Granderson and David Adams.

The Yankees will enjoy an off day tomorrow before beginning a three game set against the Rays in Florida.
