The Yankees were unable to defeat the Orioles tonight as they were defeated 4-3 in a game where they were once leading 3-0.

C.C. Sabathia suffered the loss tonight as he allowed four runs on five hits in seven innings of work. He struck out six and did not allow a walk. He finished his outing with 106 pitches thrown, in which 69 of them were for strikes.

Robinson Cano, Vernon Wells, and Chris Stewart all drove in runs for the Yankees tonight in the loss.

The Yankees look to take the middle game of the three-game set tomorrow night.

Holland, Rangers tame Yankees, finish strong trip

The Yankees were unable to get anything going against Derek Holland and the Rangers on Friday as they were defeated 2-0.

Phil Hughes started for the Yankees and he had a solid outing. Hughes allowed two runs on five hits in eight innings of work. He struck out five and walked only one. He finished his outing with 106 pitches, in which 72 of them were for strikes.

The Yankees were only able to collect two hits in the shutout. As a team they struck out seven times and worked only two walks. They also left two men on base and were 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position.

The Yankees will travel to Baltimore to take on the Orioles tomorrow night.
