C.C. Sabathia has had enough. After showing his emotions after his rough outing against the Orioles, the Yankees' ace came back with a vengeance against the Twins as he carved them up to earn his 200th win in their 3-2 victory. Robinson Cano stayed hot with a 2-for-3 night at the dish and powered the Yankees with two more runs batted in.

Sabathia allowed two runs on seven hits in seven innings of work. He struck out nine batters and walked three. He finished his outing with 121 pitches thrown, in which 81 of them were for strikes.

Robinson Cano backed C.C. Sabathia tonight with the bat. Cano drove in two of their three runs with a RBI double in the sixth inning.

Lyle Overbay drove in the third Yankee run with a sacrifice fly to center field in the sixth inning.

David Robertson pitched a scoreless eighth inning to put the game into Mariano Rivera's hands in the ninth.

Rivera pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn his 28th save of the season.

The Yankees and Twins will conclude their four-game set tomorrow afternoon.

Yankees sign Luis Cruz

With their recent injury to utility man Jayson Nix, the Yankees have gone out and signed infielder Luis Cruz. He is expected to join the Yankees immediately and is likely to play shortstop and third base for the team. Cruz was designated for assignment by the Dodgers just five days ago and decided to become a free agent.

Cruz was hitting just .127 for the Dodgers in 45 games for the club in 2013.

The Yankees are hoping that Cruz can return to his 2012 form when he hit .297 in 78 games for the Dodgers,

Yankees place Jayson Nix on DL

The Yankees have placed utility man Jayson Nix on the 15-day disabled list with a grade II groin strain. Nix injured his groin in the ninth inning of their 10-4 win over the Twins on Monday night. The recovery time for this type of injury is 4-6 weeks, so this injury isn't a short-term one.

Nix is currently hitting .236 with two home runs and twenty runs batted in for the Yankees in 73 games this season.

The Yankees will most likely make a minor move to replace Nix.
