The Yankees were able to take three games out of four against their rivals, the Red Sox, after defeating them 3-2 on Sunday.
Ivan Nova pitched excellent to earn his first win of the season. Nova had most of his pitches working, especially his big breaking curve ball. He worked into and out of jams all night and got a big ovation when he walked off the mound.
The Yankee offense was powered by Carlos Beltran, who hit a go-ahead two-run home run on a hanging curveball from Felix Doubront.
The Yankees will enjoy an off-day tomorrow before beginning a two game set with the Cubs.
