The Yankees have made some moves in the last couple of days that have affected their roster.
- Joba Chamberlain has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a oblique strain. Chamberlain suffered the injury while warming up in the bullpen. Chamberlain will likely come off when he is elgibile as he has a history of recovering fast.
- David Robertson has some discomfort in his left knee and will be out all three games against the Athletics.
- The Yankees have acquired infielder Chris Nelson from the Rockies for cash or a player to be named later.
- Preston Claiborne has been called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to replace Joba Chamberlain.
- Cody Eppley has been designated for assignment to make room for Claiborne on the 40-man roster.
The Yankees also noted that Curtis Granderson will be returning in the middle of May while Mark Teixeira aims at the end of May or early June.
