Robinson Cano highlighted the afternoon with his grand slam in the third inning. Derek Jeter came out swinging today as well. Jeter picked up three hits in four at bats and drove in three runs.

The newly acquired Casey McGehee didn't pick up a hit in his two official at bats, but he scored twice and drove in one. He also worked two walks. McGehee drove in Robinson Cano with his sacrifice fly to center field in the eighth inning.

Ichiro Suzuki extended his hit streak to 9 games with his infield single to third in the fourth inning. Ichiro has hit safely in all 9 games that he has been with the Yankees.

The Yankees will enjoy an off day tomorrow and will begin a three game set with the Mariners on Friday.
