Robinson Cano visits Mariners in Seattle

Numerous reports have surfaced that free agent, Robinson Cano, has landed in Seattle to meet with the front office of the Mariners. This comes just days after the Mariners expressed their interest in Cano. The Mariners are reportedly in "serious" talks with the free agent and are open to inking him to a major contract.

The Yankees have made it clear that they will not go above or near the $200 million mark, but Cano is asking for a ten year, $250 million contract. The Mariners seem to be serious contenders as they are offering Cano a nine-year, $225 million contract.

If Cano does depart to Seattle or another team, then the Yankees have some holes to fill. They could go with newly signed Kelly Johnson at second base, or they can go out and get a player like Omar Infante.

Ultimately it will be a interesting next couple of days.

Yanks' ink Kelly Johnson to 1-year deal

The Yankees have bolster their infield with their accusation of Kelly Johnson today.

Johnson, who has 16 plus home-runs in the past five seasons, has been brought in to play either second base or third base, depending on the situation. He is a second basemen by trade, having played 809 out of his career 960 games there. He can also play first base and left field, as well as third base.

The contract is for one-year worth approximately three million.

Report: Yankees, Jacoby Ellsbury agree on 7-year deal

Numerous reports have surfaced the Yankees are in "serious" talks with free agent outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury.

The Yankees and Ellsbury have reportedly agreed upon a seven-year, $153 million contract with an option for an eighth year.

With already signing Brian McCann and Jacoby Ellsbury, the Yankees hope to retain Robinson Cano and add more depth to their newly designed team.

His contract with the Yankees ends up being a five-year, $85 million contact with a vesting option for 2019.
